Divorce Workshop
Divorce Workshop
The North County Family Law Facilitator's Office offers Dissolution (divorce) Workshops each Thursday morning. Sign-ins for workshops are Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. at the Family Law Facilitator's Office, North Building , Vista Superior Court. Plan to spend the morning. Anyone wishing to start a Dissolution (divorce), Legal Separation or Annulment, and would like assistance from the Facilitator's Office, MUST first attend a workshop and must:
- Purchase a "Disso Packet " from the Business Office for $2.50. (The package will include all the forms needed to file on the day of the workshop.)
- Sign-in beginning at 7:30 a.m., PRIOR to the start of each workshop. (Workshops begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.-no late participants will be allowed.)
- Bring the Dissolution forms packet.
- Have Proof of SSI or CalWORKS (TANF/AFDC) benefits (if applicable) or your last three (3) pay stubs.
- Be prepared to pay the court filing fees (at time of filing) of $300.50 or complete an Application for Fee Waiver. Fees will be paid in the Business Office. There is no fee for the workshop itself.
- Bring an Interpreter for Non-English-speaking individuals (No hablamos Espanol).
Workshop participants must arrange day care. Children are NOT allowed at the workshops. |
