EMERGENCY ITEMS OVERVIEW

Life is full of choices and a parent should never face the choice between feeding their family and paying for a roof over their head. Leaving a domestic violence situation can place a financial strain on a family. WRC established a food pantry to help assist families by providing a weeks worth of food and hygiene items. These items are available to families when they come into the office and meet with a case manager. The case manager will also provide referrals to programs or agencies that can provide longer term assistance if needed.

If you need to talk to a case manager please call our crisis hotline number.

THRIFT STORE

Often the survivors and their children are forced to leave in a very hurried situation and in a manner that personal items are left behind. WRC is blessed to have a wonderful community of supporters who donate used clothing, household wares, strollers, and other small furniture items to WRC Thrift Store. To utilize WRC’s vouchers to the Thrift Store one will need to come into the office and speak with a case manager.

MAKE A DONATION

If you have new items of clothing, hygiene, baby, toys, books. etc. WRC will take these donations at 1963 Apple St. The new clothing items are given to clients when available. The toys and books are used to provide birthday presents and comfort to children in our programs. Please take a look at WRC’s wish lists if you are looking for ways to donate to our agency and support our survivors.
