June Western, longtime supporter and ally of Women’s Resource Center (WRC), and Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen have come together to provide meals for families living in WRC’s transitional house during the current pandemic. This month, WRC is proud to honor June Western and Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen for their gracious donations of meals for survivors of domestic violence living in our “Bright Futures” Transitional Housing program.
For more than ten years, June has contributed countless donations to WRC in order to help support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a Holistic Health Practitioner, June is always looking to bring people together for the benefit of all. “It takes a village,” she says. “I’ve always believed in helping out the community; it was the way I was raised. I give thanks to my parents for instilling that in my life.”
Ever since she was a young girl, June has been passionately involved in different women’s issues. She supports establishments in the community that help grow and facilitate families. June sought out Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen because of their same core value — commitment to the community. When June reached out to Brandon and Austin Lorber, owners of Fratelli’s, she mentioned, “They are very compassionate and kind people. I knew they would be on board with my idea.”
Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen is a family owned Italian restaurant located in the heart of Oceanside. Since opening in 2011, Fratelli’s has been known for their friendly service and delicious food. Fratelli’s menu consists of an array of Italian options that include their famous lasagna, Caesar salad, fettuccine alfredo, and hand-tossed pizzas. Fratelli’s is currently taking online, take-out, and delivery orders. To learn more about Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen, click the link below https://www.fratellisitaliankitchen.com/
WRC thanks both Fratelli’s Italian Kitchen and June Western for their great generosity. The contribution of dinners have reminded WRC clients that there are those in our community supporting and empowering their families in times of adversity. WRC could not do this work without the amazing support from our community members.
